MSC Cruises has announced that its ship MSC Seascape will debut in Galveston on Friday, November 7, 2025, marking the company’s first year-round presence in Texas. The ship’s inaugural sailing departs Sunday, November 9, kicking off weekly seven-night Western Caribbean itineraries that will visit Costa Maya and Cozumel, Mexico, and Isla de Roatán, Honduras every Sunday.
The arrival of MSC Seascape coincides with the opening of Galveston’s newest cruise terminal, expanding the port’s capacity and reinforcing its position as the fourth-busiest cruise port in the United States — and the only one in Texas.

MSC Seascape will offer a distinct Texas twist on its culinary and entertainment lineup. New menus will highlight Southern, Texan, and Gulf Coast dishes, including barbecue favorites, Cajun-inspired recipes, and comfort classics. Specialty dining venues will include Kaito Sushi Bar, Kaito Teppanyaki, HOLA! Tacos & Cantina, Ocean Cay Seafood Restaurant, and Butcher’s Cut Steakhouse. Complimentary breakfast will also be offered at HOLA! and Butcher’s Cut. Guests can enjoy regionally inspired cocktails such as the Spicy Mexican Margarita and Backyard Punch, plus two new tasting events — the MSC Bourbon & Bacon Experience and the MSC Macallan Experience.
Entertainment onboard will mix Texas flair with MSC’s signature productions, featuring a resident country band, dueling pianos, line dancing classes, and a Big Texas Sailaway Party. Families will find more than 7,500 square feet of kids’ space, including a LEGO® parade, Guinness World Records Family Quiz, MasterChef at Sea Juniors, and the Doremix Family Disco. For tech enthusiasts, high-adrenaline attractions include a Formula 1 racing simulator, an XD cinema, and ROBOTRON, a robotic arm ride that combines rollercoaster-style motion with custom DJ music.
The ship will also feature one of the cruise line’s largest MSC Yacht Club areas, offering a private restaurant, lounge, pool, and sundeck, along with 24/7 butler service and priority boarding.
Capacity: 2,270 cabins
Dining: 11 venues, 19 bars and lounges
Pools: 6, including an aft infinity pool
Entertainment: 98 hours of onboard programming
Promenade: 1,772-foot waterfront walk with the Glass Bridge of Sighs
Family Space: 7,567 sq. ft. kids’ area
Yacht Club: 32,000 sq. ft. of private facilities
With its debut, MSC Seascape will expand MSC Cruises’ U.S. footprint and strengthen Galveston’s growing reputation as a key cruise departure point for the Western Caribbean.
