With the Morazánica holiday approaching, Honduras’ Customs Administration has announced how its offices and services will operate between September 29 and October 3. The measures are designed to give government workers their scheduled time off while keeping essential customs operations running.
Most administrative staff, including those at the Civic Government Center in Tegucigalpa, the Central Archive, and the San Pedro Sula regional office, will be off duty for the week and return to work on Monday, October 6.
However, not all services will pause. Critical areas such as tariff and customs valuation, the monitoring and complaints hotline, and customs laboratories in Tegucigalpa and Puerto Cortés will continue operating on rotating schedules.
Customs offices at border crossings and airports will remain open with regular hours, while internal customs and bonded warehouses will follow schedules set by the businesses they work with. Maritime customs will operate according to the National Port Authority or, in the case of concession-run warehouses, according to each operator’s plan.
